My name is Rick Trieb (Owner) and I grew up in Independence, Mo. I went to William Christmas High School, and my Senior year, I went to Joe Herndon Vo-tech School. I graduated early in 1989 and started working for construction companies. In 1992, at the young age of 22, I started my own decking business while going to Longview College at the same time. I realized I was too young to handle running a business of my own and going to college at the same time, so I went back into working for other construction companies again.
From 1992-1999
I worked for a concrete company, framing company, drywall company, painting company, and roofing company. I loved working hard and I wanted to learn them all, which eventually paved the way for me to now have this successful business.
In 1999, I got married to my beautiful wife and started to do side jobs by cleaning gutters, mowing lawns, picking up leaves, painting, washing windows, and Christmas lighting. I was doing anything to make money. I loved painting and Christmas lights so much that they are what I stuck with. In 1999, I formed an LLC. I still love being outside and being a part of construction. Now, Prestige Exterior Painting has its own building to call home with an Operations Office Manager (Mendy), Salesman (Luke), 2-3 paint crews, and 1 wood crew. I look forward to continuing this business for years to come and possibly passing it down someday to my son or my daughters.
